What they say

  • Cheryl Kernander, Director of Development, Eastern Michigan University
Thank you so much for your keynote at the Sesi breakfast today. The Director for the Center of Entrepreneurship said your talk was one of the best they've ever had, he was really excited!
Cheryl Kernander, Director of Development, Eastern Michigan University
  • Jacki Smith, President, Coventry Creations, Ent. Inc.
Mr. Palmer was able to navigate our complicated company and help us uncover what we really wanted out of our 23 year old business and grow it in that direction. He helped us institute standard business practices without losing our unique business personality. Through his guidance we were able not only to value the mistakes we have made, but also to find humor in the blocks we had placed in our own way. Since then, we have continued to grow another 20% in sales and 100% in our profits. Todd Palmer is an asset. The tools he shares are effective and his practical approach to business is actionable and sustainable.
Jacki Smith, President, Coventry Creations, Ent. Inc.
  • Josef Bastian, Kroff Chemical
In listening to Todd, we discovered that leaders aren’t born, they’re created. They require ongoing support to reach high levels of performance. Todd demonstrated the value of these things. We learned that great leadership does not occur by accident - it comes through planning, purpose and expert guidance along the way.  We saw how successful leaders support other leaders. We worked through our organizational issues, while Todd provided tactical things that we could do to foster continuous growth within our executive team. He was a very capable guide in starting us along the leadership path.
    Josef Bastian, Kroff Chemical
  • Mark A. Maurer, CPA, Vice President & CFO, Harman Group Companies
I found the meeting very beneficial.  Todd had us to think about various aspects of the business and to see how each of us may look at things differently.  It clearly showed deficiencies I knew existed but had not been able to solve. Our frank discussion made me rethink things I had tried — but failed— to make any improvements on and many good ideas on how to go about tackling some of those issues.
Mark A. Maurer, CPA, Vice President & CFO, Harman Group Companies
  • Tim Barr, Vice President of Sales, Harman Group of Companies
I thought the time with Todd was valuable, getting leadership together to have directed discussions about the business. For me there weren't a lot of surprises: we know there aren't Rocks for the company or good lines of formal communication. It takes a planned meeting (what my wife would call "being intentional") to break that rhythm of "this is how it's done" and begin to make positive changes.
Tim Barr, Vice President of Sales, Harman Group of Companies
  • John Anton, Design A Shirt
I have had the opportunity to work with Todd Palmer over the past 5 years.  As an owner of 4 different companies it can be difficult to step back and see the big picture sometime.  Todd listens to our companies challenges at hand, contemplates what he would do or best practices he has seen from his years of experience and offers tangible ideas on how to grow our businesses.   What I really admire most about Todd is his ability to listen and drill down to the issue at hand.   He is a great problem solver/solution finder.  I look forward to many more years of working with him to grow my business and learn from him.
    John Anton, Design A Shirt
  • Christopher Weirs, Senior Director of Education, American Staffing Association
Todd delivered inspiring content that was perfectly tailored to staffing firm owners and the industry at our Texas Owners’ Retreat. Our owners needed tools to scale their business, and Todd hit a home run for us. He addressed changing our mindset, our long term and short term scaling strategies, and plans for execution in the marketplace.  Todd’s real-life business experience earned our respect as he took the time to get to know us, our audience, and our world.

Grow an 8-Figure Business – Just by Listening

Running a large organization is like being the director, performer, and the audience – all at the same time. There are just so many moving parts. You must be ready for a far-reaching array of responsibilities AND give careful consideration to a never-ending laundry list of concerns. To effectively lead and grow a company you need a never-ending supply of confidence and momentum. You need to be able to trust your gut.

If you’re facing imposter syndrome or unmet expectations — you need a been-there-done-that advisor to tell it like it is. (I actually enjoy uncomfortable conversations!)

Extraordinary Advisors is for the hands-on CEO who’s open to progress and wants to grow more than sales. Our one-on-one collaboration strategy sessions are focused on measurable growth, fresh perspectives, and thoughtful advice. If your staff isn’t happy, neither are your clients. When you trust yourself, so will your team — which leads to…well, happy people all around.

We start with a conversation, do some assessments of you and your team, create a bi-monthly CEO coaching-call schedule, set up quarterly team meetings, and keep the company moving forward towards achievable goals (and big dreams!). We are well versed in EOS or Gazelles business growth tools or we will customize a solution for your company.

It’s our job to put you (and your company) on the path to doing extraordinary things. It’s your job to believe in yourself — and your team and to take action towards the future you want to build.

About Extraordinary Advisors

It’s my job to tell it like it is.

I’m Todd Palmer and I’m the Chief Rulebreaker. I’m the guy who exists to improve lives. The leader who knows that we only learn by leaning into the uncomfortable, and away from the comfortable. The confident personality who lives ATV (Authenticity-Transparency-Vulnerability) all day, every day. I’m the amateur baseball player who knows you are successful by failing 7 out of 10 times. The adventurer who walks with cheetahs in Africa. The CEO who will walk the path with you. The recruiter who knows that the best anyone will ever be is on a first interview (or first date). The facilitator who calls out the Pink Elephant in the room. The Life-Long Learner who will help you continue to grow yourself and your business.

Since 1997, my companies have helped over 5,000 people secure employment, improving their lives and the lives of their families. I am the founder and President of Diversified Industrial Staffing (named by INC Magazine to the INC 5,000 (a record-setting 6 times!) as one of fastest growing companies in America and one of CORP! Magazine’s “Michigan 50 Company to Watch” and “a Best of Michigan Company.”)

Service is at the heart of my work ethic. I have had the honor of serving on behalf of the American Staffing Association (ASA) as the Industrial Section Council Chair and as president of EO Detroit (a group of successful CEO’s with combined revenues in excess of $100 Million dollars, cha-ching!).

Extraordinary Advisors is the collaborative business advisory that Gets. S#!t. Done. We aren’t happy until our clients trust themselves (the leaders) AND their decisions. We won’t rest until teams trust the leaders AND each other. We know we’ve nailed it when CEO’s and their leadership teams take action towards high-level achievement, resulting in clients that trust the company. (Read: more sales, more profits, more partnerships.)

Check out my articles for more insights on scaling your business through “Fail Foward Leadership.” My blog is where I dive deep into employment issues specific to manufacturing, staffing your business, and leadership.

My first book, The Job Search Process empowers individuals on how to create, conduct and complete their job search within as little as seven days. I am currently working on my second book, which is all about the entrepreneurial journey.
